Fast Ethernet, IP Ethernet and Gig-E Internet Connections

Ethernet Internet service and MPLS service availability in the USA is increasing like wild fire. All the major carriers offer businesses at least one favor of this service as the newest upgrade from legacy T1 type service. Although there is still a long way to go before all USA buildings are served by Ethernet, it's availability is spreading at an increasing pace. For more info, see the recently updated info at Fast Ethernet and Gig E Data Circuits and the IS YOUR LOCATION LIT FOR ETHERNET? article.

MPLS America Network Site

MPLS America is a new site for the many organizations that are updating their networks who would like to obtain info on and to request quotes for MPLS VPN Networks. Although we can help organizations find the best options for MPLS and VPLS networks throughout the world, our sweet spot is the USA. It's time for those with a legacy Frame Relay or Point to Point network, to investigate the modern alternative which is a MPLS network. There is also an intro page to MPLS on our T1Guy.Net site.

Ethernet Options reduce cost of Internet Access and Private Lines

Fast Ethernet and Gig-E options for Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) and Private Lines (PLs) offer lower cost per Mbps for businesses requiring higher bandwiths. Businesses that need 3 Mbps and higher bandwidths can now pay less per Meg if Ethernet is available at their location(s). Originally, these options were only available to organizations in buildings that were lit with pure Ethernet service. Although the number of such buildings is increasing rapidly each month, still only a small percentage of buildings in the USA are lit. However, a much larger number of buildings can be served by new techniques of delivering Ethernet carrier service. These approaches are EoC (Ethernet over Copper) and EoD (Ethernet over DS1 or DS3). Both the reliability and bandwidth consistency of these technologies is similar to that of T1, DS3, and OCx service. For more info, see the T1Guy web page devoted to Ethernet options that has been started at Ethernet WAN, Metro – Fast Ethernet and Gig E Data Circuits description and availability.

Our Business Growing Because of Economy?

Persimmon Telecommunications, a proud member of the Telarus group, announces that Telarus sales have continued their growth path through December. In December 2008, annualized revenue exceeded $7 MM for the first time ever. I believe this is at least in part because, in these trying economic times, businesses which in the past just paid their Telecommunications Carrier bills without paying a lot of attention to them are now looking more closely at these expenses. When they do so, they often find us since we are able to quickly review the options available from over 50 carriers and then to recommend the ones that best fit the business need. See a chart of the annualized revenue since inception at http://t1guy.com/Annualized Sales.ppt.

United States Patent and Trademark Office formally accepts Telarus Telecommunications Claims

As a proud member of the Telarus group of Telecom agents, Persimmon Telecommunications is proud to announce that the United States Patent and Trademark Office formally accepted all 38 claims relating to the online generation of real-time commercial telecommunication service quotes. Originally filed in May 2003, United States Patent 7,496,184, entitled “System and Method to Determine and Deliver Quotes for Distance-Sensitive Communication Links From Multiple Service Providers” was amended in August 2008 to include new innovations that occurred subsequently.

This will help protect the great, innovative ideas of our founders from being copied, and will help insure that the investments made in building this technological advance will be fruitful.

As a proud member of the Telarus group of consultant agents, we are able to provide organizations with very quick (often real-time) Telecommunications quotes and plan descriptions from over 20 carriers. This includes data and voice quotes on T1, DS3, OC3, Fast Ethernet, OCx, GigE, PRI, SIP, PtP (Point to Point), and MPLS services. The article details how, at the beginning of this decade, this concept that many in the industry thought to be impossible, was developed by the two founders of Telarus into a working business model that is well on its way to generating more than $50 million of projected contract sales for 2008.
